This scholarship was created to remember Karen, a resident of Austin, TX., who was a wife, mother, daughter and “Glamma” to her adorable grandson. Karen earned her wings at the age of 58 years old on June 1, 2020, after courageously fighting against metastatic breast cancer for eight years. The scholarship was created by Karen’s family to preserve her memory and to support the education of college students with financial need.
